What is Your Mirror Made Of?

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

Are you able to see through the distortions created by a lifetime of conditioning and programming that began the moment you took your first breath here? Before you had any concept of who you were from your own perspective, before you even had the capacity to form this perspective?

They say everyone you meet knows a different version of you. That’s a LOT of versions, and they are ALL some ridiculously complex amalgamation of projection – both theirs and what you yourself project onto the other, creating a unique dynamic of frequency and perception between people which forms these personas.

Our spiritual awakening is an equally complex dismantling of all these projections, where we begin to search for the subjective, unaltered truth of our own existence, and begin to let go of the distorted figure that was built on the theories, tastes and judgements of others.

And if that sounds like a daunting task, well yes, it unquestionably is.

And yet here you are, continuing to look, question, assess, discover and realize. Why? Because some unnamable desire to “know thyself” burns within you. It is the driving force of human evolution and personal transformation embedded deep within every soul that chooses to incarnate.

So look in the mirror and move past the obvious. Past the stories you’ve woven as truths, past the opinions that have no real foundation of worth. Past the experiences that have shaped you.

Look into the unique mind, body, spirit that holds this current form, asking to be looked at with new eyes, new perspective, and a new clarity that comes from wiping the slate clean and building a strong connection that hidden part which is wholly authentic and is not built on anyone else’s opinion, permission or desire.

The part of you that is raw divinity, untouched, amorphous, intangible and wholly without fault, detriment or imperfection, because those concepts simply do not exist.

This is the difficult work required of the awakening process. But here you are, doing it.

So keep looking and keep asking yourself what you see… what you truly, truly see with your higher, inner sight.

It’s a beautiful sight to behold.
