Surrendering to One’s Path

Over a decade ago, upon completing my first yoga teacher training and with a stomach full of fear, I embarked on my journey as a teacher.

Regardless of what others saw, I never saw myself as a teacher. At that point, I was just a yogi who wanted to go deeper into my own understanding of these profound teachings on life.

Six years ago, when energy work found me, it was a similar situation. At the start, it was just about receiving the energies for my own evolution, and even facilitation was not something I could conceptualize. Teaching others how to use their own energy and cultivate the skill of facilitation? Nope.

And yet here I am.

Several years older. Infinitely wiser, and still digging deeper into my own understanding of this human experience. I continue to march forward on an ever-unfolding path I never expected, yet which is a path I now know, unquestionably, is my dharma, my purpose, my joy.

My first facilitator training earlier this year was (and I can only speak for myself) pretty epic. And also, as is always the case when we step into new territory, a little scary but chock full of learning… for me, right alongside the students.

This second training is providing a very different container. A smaller, more intimate group of all women. Powerful women all on our own journey of reclaiming that power fully.

The teachings are evolving, the energies are definitely evolving, and my own evolution? Suffice to say, I am ALL the things… grateful, empowered, humbled, inspired and so full of love. And that’s really just the tip of the iceberg.

My take away at this moment – and we’re not done yet (are we ever? rhetorical question) ~ The more we surrender ourselves to our hearts-desire and our spirits-calling, the more we can then step into our true power, find our authentic expression of truth and open ourselves to the mystical unraveling of our life’s purpose.

And in discovering of our ability to serve others, we find the greater gift of serving ourselves.

What an incredible journey life is. I wonder if you’re looking at it that way too? I certainly hope so…
